Description
This pair of original mixed media paintings on Strathmore’s 400 series paper are protected by gloss varnish sprayed. They should be sold together, but I am very willing to separate the pair. They could be considered a diptych, as they were painted at the same time intentionally to stay together as one and would look beautiful within the same frame ~ a good framer could do wonders with these 2 pieces.
Painted in 2022, they represent my early works of exploration, as I sought my preferred subjects and style. This boulder shape is common in my work; then and now. These reflect willingness and anticipation in their pops of florescent orange and mint. Expressive marks using multimedia including posca markers and pastels. The work itself is identified in the titles ~ rough and fumbling through my learning curves.
These are offered together now at a reduced rate because I’m feeling a bit sentimental about keeping them together. They will ship flat at no additional fee and will include a certificate of authenticity as either individuals or as a diptych.
I hope their collector will see more than color ~ but the fresh brook, the well-traveled cobblestone walk, and the stone walls of our New England homesteads.
