I grew up in Manchester NH, a mill city, and the largest city in my State, NH.
I walked to school and downtown, and I played kickball and tag in front of the house at the telephone pole with the neighborhood kids ~ and hide & seek. Mom would call us to dinner by hollering our names out the door, and when dinner was over, we could play outside again until the streetlights came on.
As an intuitive artist, who paints from imagination without reference, this abstract painting with its assembly line, pumping out good kids ~ makes me think of all of those good times up on the hill.
A background of florescent green and aqua, with scattered patches of opaque including the center patch of bright orange red pink….. Floating spheres, and blocks of glass and crystal reflections.
I (the artist) meant to create a sense of motion and space, using color and shape ~ and it produced this amazing painting.
It was described by one art lover as “a balance of color and shape… the complexity of it, nobody else could do, I love it.”
The painting took me over a year as it continued to evolve. It has many layers of various media, but is finished with gloss acrylic varnish. It is 20x24x.5″, lightweight wrapped stretcher frame ~ it would be beautiful in a white frame, a warm wood frame, or a pewter metal frame. Shipping or delivery, and a certificate of authenticity is included in the price.
UPDATE OCT 2024: This is now professionally framed in 3/4″ wood with silver and cobalt scoop, adding the professional finish it deserves!
