Description
Painted as a scroll hung from the ceiling, this 24′ long artist study is 42″ wide and painted on only 1 side. There are many media used, including pencil, Stabilo woodies, charcoal, soft and oil pastels, metalic and iridescent paints, but more often artist grade acrylic media are used or covered to protect.
An area near the top of the scroll has been decoupaged with canvas bits from a 16×20″ painting titled “The Red Gifts”, which has personal meaning to the artist. This was done with artist grade gel medium and meant to symbolize the DE-tachment from precious canvas to the A-tachment to paper scroll as part of story.
The artist hopes that this painting will continue on to become more art. There is an entire reverse side that is available. As long as my art is less than 25% of your art, you are even able to sell it, to continue to add value to the artists’ hands.
Another exciting idea is that this is cut into large and small sizes, framed, and becomes a gallery wall in an amazing space that wants to be lit within from the light of hope, effort, love, and intention. It’s a powerful piece, FULL of color and abstraction, raw and unedited artist exploration.
Private and public viewings are always welcomed ~ reach out if you would like to see more of this piece!
When you purchase this piece, you help reward the artist for self-driven study of time, materials, and effort ~ and you send the message to continue on! As well, there is 24′ of artist visual language to use in any number of productive ways that add value and creativity to our spaces.
There are many artist photos and video of this period of time that are available for viewing. The study of approximately 8 weeks included this scroll, 2 other smaller scrolls on canvas, and 28 double-sided 22×28″ deluxe poster board paintings.
The uninhibited artist study inspired an ongoing blog series to examine and share the experience ~ and has been a topic in 2 of the artist’s recent art talks at opening receptions for exhibitions (both recorded and available) as this study was indeed an education that has inspired and encouraged greater works personally and within the art community.
Do you know of a place that this could exhibition? Please do reach out! The potential and energy within this scroll is perfect for collaboration and exhibition. How could it be displayed? Rolled out on a table, or standing up on its side, as a roll… it could be hung from the ceiling and rolled up and down to the floor…. it could be cut up into pieces that are shared by the whole ~ are you a member of a decoupage artists’ collective?
Because this piece is meant to create growth and opportunity, I will negotiate a giant G.I.A.N.T. discount in price *without hesitation* for any artist or art group who would use this piece in another creative project.
