Description
Expressive marks that tell tales of space and motion are evident in this early painting.
I used modeling paste for an almost sculptural experience, with watery color and marks to create a unique abstract painting that reminds me of a personal experience (early 1980’s) of fishing in the pools with my dad ~ fishing in an area under the Amoskeag Falls, a damn in the Merrimack River in Manchester NH.
Filterless is the title because my dad smoked Lucky Strikes, a brand of cigarette without a filter. He showed me how this didn’t pollute the water (while we polluted air, lungs and body!lol!)
