Moon Landing, 2024 Acrylic Mixed Media, 37×57″ Large Painting on 1.5″ Gallery Wrapped Canvas

$4,200

The orginal 2024 acrylic and mixed media painting on 39x58x1.5″ gallery wrapped canvas.

Description

Moon Landing was painted at the end of 2024, in a season of freedom and gratitude. I used acrylic paint, Stabilo Woodies, and other media to paint this expressive non-representational abstract painting on a 43×61″ canvas, tacked to the wall.

I had it stretched by a professional framer for a gallery wrapped 37x57x1.5″ finish with infinity view sides.

Through layers of translucent and opaque pigment, gestural mark-making, and the interplay of cool and warm hue and tone, I hope to evoke the sensation of movement and mystery with moments of discovery and emotional response.

Through the large-scale size, and infinity wrapped edges, I hope to invite reflection on the moon not just as a celestial body, but as a shared presence that connects us across time and place, as a quiet reminder that even in vastness, we are linked by wonder and the beauty of creation.
