Playful like blossoms that bounce in the breeze ~ and the thought of my mom singing, “hey sugah sugah, ah honey honey”🥰
Early in the development of my trademark style of abstract bouquets and vessels, I explored transparencies of paint ~ this bouquet is clearly from that time of exploration without confinements of experience. I painted this mostly in 2022, but made finishing touches in 2023 before final varnish in 2024. It’s been a favorite of visitors to my studio👌 Typical of my work, it offers a calmness using comforting shapes and simplicity, combined with whimsy and creative energy.
