Description
What’s Going On is a diptych that includes two 24×18″ wrapped canvas mixed media paintings, Talk To Me and You Can See. They are connected vertically with brackets but can easily be separated to hang independently or in a side-by-side configuration.
The expressive marks of stormy clouds, open fields, straight tracks, hopeful prayers, and tears, tell a story of our human desire for peace and human histories of injustices. Above all of our stories, is the present moment, which connects us to Love.
This painting was always a diptych, though it transformed many times. At one point I brought it to an artist peer group for feedback. The suggestions to look at it from another angle, and consider new configurations brought it from a horizontal to a vertical, which allowed me space to see new things and create the overlay of Love expressed in untethered flowers.
A soulful original expressive abstract with marks that tell a story of human nature.
