A jar full of wishes all come true ~ that’s what you’re looking at!
I can hear Daddy telling me to come visit, stay close; and I can see Grammy’s fancy dishes, some etched, painted, all mysteriously beautiful to my sweet little heart, looking for love in every corner.
This piece has physical magic as well ~ There is lots of interest in the texture. I also used metallic paints in the striations along the back vertical, and nacreous and other artist magic tricks to create the illusions of light that you see in the vessel, which is sealed with a wooden top ~ how unique, strong, protective…. grounding. With a gentle eye, you will notice the vessel come away from the canvas, and you’ll know that you have those wishes come true, warm memories, love of earth and seasons, holidays, and mysteries in jars.
