Description
This big beauty is as tough as she is delicate. She sits bold and confident, ready to greet the day and all who pass her by.
At 55×47.5″, her shape accentuates her message: You can count on me, I’m here to stay.
This piece was inspired by one of my first mural paintings, titled, Ode, which helped to inspire and propel me into my professional career as a fine artist. That Ode was a tribute to my Mom and Gramma who brought home bundles from the yarn store sales and pulled skeins out of the bags on fingers to show a color palette planned for each of the afghans, sweaters, hats and mittens, and who would be the receiver of their gifts. So much joy, anticipation, and shared love.
This painting reflects traditions of joy, unity, the love of color, and the beautiful things we create to warm others with our love.
Ode To Ode is gallery wrapped, and ready to hang.
She’s oversized!
She’s been sprayed with a couple of light layers of varnish to stabilize the media, but I’m happy to add fresh varnish in your preferred finish: gloss, satin, or matte.
