2025, A Year Of Transition

I’m Coming Back!
I’ve been focused on keeping peace in my heart and sanity in my mind as my family had many demands, including the sale of our home in NH and relocation to our new home in Maine. Although my blog hasn’t been a priority for me over the last year, my creativity and hard work hasn’t stopped!
Creativity hasn’t stopped!
- New Works, exhibitions, community
- Newsletters and art gift-aways
- NH Art Show Week, online exhibition host
These big family changes didn’t stop my creative process ~ just altered it a bit😉
When I realized that 2025 would be a year of transition, I took advantage of a few free months to paint with abandon. From November 24 to March 2025, I painted large, emptying bottles of paint and filling rolls of canvas. I tried new media and techniques, such as collage, and painted new sizes and shapes, including large squares, and thin vertical rectangles (releasing soon!)

Also during that period, I finalized works for my first solo exhibition (March 2025, Kittery Art Association, see Exhibitions.)
Most of the new works, and others, are now at my framer’s shop being stretched for a gallery wrap finish, soon to be released. A couple have already been returned to me, including A Pleasure Doing Business With You (exhibited The Art Center, Members’ Best of the Best), and Moon Landing.

I showed at Kittery Art Association, Beach Pea Baking Co, and Buoy Gallery, all 3 in Kittery Maine. I showed at The Art Center in Dover NH, Newburyport Art Association in Newburyport MA, Hearth Market Gallery in Portsmouth NH, and AVA Gallery in Lebanon NH.
In addition to creating new art and exhibiting, I also coordinated several newsletters for my MFD VIPs, which included free Art Gift-Aways of Limited Edition Prints. This was especially fun for me!
Join the MFD VIPs to receive the occasional newsletter, free art gifts, exclusive content, and first access. The free art includes originals, limited edition prints, and downloadable screensavers and print-at-home art. The exclusive content includes photos and videos from the art studio, tours of my gardens, and more!
And I also coordinated a Summer Art Exhibition for the Instagram group that I host, NH Art Show Week. This was an open call invitation with a theme of Perspective, and was open to all media and followers, free of charge. Dozens submitted their artwork which was featured on the Instagram, Facebook and Threads channels, and all will be included in a month-long National ad campaign which runs in October.
