Description
This original mixed-media painting was sparked by the energy I experienced while listening to my favorite contemporary jazz and blues musician. Immersed in the music of the saxophonist, I painted the earliest layers, allowing sound and feeling to move directly through the work.
Those first layers remain visible, intentionally preserved to honor the intensity of that moment ~ a reminder that art lives across forms. Music, painting, movement, and emotion all speak the same language.
As a developing professional artist at the time, this work marked a turning point in my understanding of art as a unique expression of The Creator ~ something inherently beautiful, generous, and meant to be shared.
This painting celebrates life in its fullness ~ song and dance, earth and family, creativity and care. It invites the collector not only to live with art, but to participate in its impact.
The work is matte varnished, professionally wired, and ready to hang.
