Description
Abstract Still Life Painting ~ Saved
Saved is an original abstract still life painting that was inspired by memories, rituals, and objects we keep, long after their moments. Collected glass, fresh flowers, and treasured jars become reminders of care, memory, and the people who teach us how to love through simple acts.
The Story Behind Saved
Saved is a part of the series, Simple Things. It draws from the memory of my grandmother’s candy jar kept on a shelf and filled with pink peppermint candies that soothe a belly ache. The jars reflect a love for collected glass and heirloom treasures.

Everyday items and experiences can become treasures that lift our spirits.
Living With an Abstract Still Life Painting
In this abstract still life painting, jars hold flowers. They suggest the simple act of bringing beauty indoors and sharing it with others. A bouquet gathered from the garden, a favorite vessel, or a treasured object on a shelf can transform an ordinary day into something worth noticing.
You do not need an art background to connect with this work. The painting doesn’t ask for analysis ~ it is a reminder that beauty often arrives through the simplest gifts and gestures.
Simple Things, a Series
The Simple Things series celebrates ordinary moments that encourage us to notice bits of goodness. Through flowers, collected objects, and everyday rituals, these paintings share art as a way of life.
Each piece honors the objects we choose to enjoy and the bits of life we notice every day. What we notice becomes a treasure, such as our neighbor’s flowering bush, our grandmother’s favorite dish towel, the way our friend sends us a birthday card every year ~ not because they are valuable, but because they carry stories, offer comfort, and help make life more beautiful.
