Description

Large Scale Abstract Painting Leaves Room for Imagination

There’s Nobody Else Here is a large scale abstract painting that invites the viewer in and leaves room for imagination, wonder, and shifting interpretation. I painted this in 2023, flat on my studio wall, and then had it professionally stretched in 2024 for infinity-view sides. In 2026 I brought it out of storage to see it with new eyes and add its finishing touches

From one view, it stands as a single tall vessel overflowing with life. From another, it becomes two round vessels with a blue space held between them. The painting does not settle into one answer. It asks you to explore, notice, and wonder.

Expressive, Wild, and Deeply Composed

The work carries a figure-like presence with its expressive, wild, and self-possessed style. Its marks move with energy, but the painting is not chaotic. It is contained by proportion, structure, and a sense of formal grace. The result is a large-scale abstract floral painting that feels alive and untamed, yet deeply composed.

There’s Nobody Else Here large scale abstract painting shown full view with tall figure-like presence and blooming color.

From Inwardness Toward Radiance

The eye is drawn inward first ~ into the dark blue center, the vessel-like forms, the figure-like stance, the charcoal marks, and the density of the lower composition. Then the eye rises into color, bloom, motion, and release. That creates a felt shift: from groundedness to lift, from containment to expression, from mystery to wonder. The whole painting seems to move from inwardness toward radiance.

Emotionally, this painting may bring energy to someone who feels still, beauty to someone who needs renewal, and companionship to someone who values depth.

There’s Nobody Else Here is not a quiet background painting. It has presence, which means it may strengthen the space around it and subtly strengthen the person near it.

Spiritually, it offers ascent without becoming literal. It does not tell the viewer what to believe or what to see. Instead, it creates room for attention, imagination, and inner response. Darkness is not erased here. It becomes the root of beauty, movement, and emotional lift.

Strength in Composition

I added the black-and-white view to the gallery images to prove the strength of the composition. Even without color, the painting holds: the dark vessel, the lifted bloom mass, the curved negative space, and the strong vertical stance remain clear. The color is not carrying the whole painting alone. The structure is real.

Painted Infinity-View Sides

The professionally stretched infinity-view sides also matter. Because the image continues around the edges, the painting feels complete as an object, not just as a front-facing surface. It has presence from the side, reinforcing the sense that this is a substantial, resolved, one-of-one work.

More Than Decoration

This large scale abstract painting suits an environment that needs more than decoration. It would be powerful in an entryway or foyer, where it immediately introduces a home as personal, creative, and alive.

It would also be beautiful in a living room, dining room, stairwell, studio, office, retreat space, boutique hospitality environment, or collector’s interior with enough wall space to let it stand with authority.

This large scale abstract painting belongs where a room needs imagination, energy, wonder, and inner life made visible. There’s Nobody Else Here is a statement piece, but the statement is not only about the art. It is also about the person who chooses it: someone singular, intuitive, self-possessed, and willing to live with something no one else could replace.
