I’ve been creating art and selling art prints at Zazzle for over a decade.

I have several shops at Zazzle ~ each has a unique purpose for art prints. My newest is the print shop which supports my fine art, this is where you will find limited editions and prints of living paintings.

My first foray into selling my art, and creating art to sell, was with Zazzle in 2008. It started with inspiration from friends, and the motive at the time was to support our group (but secretly hoping I was a genius, and my art would sell like hotcakes (or ice cream).

I photographed and scanned to create digital files, and then I manipulated these in software (paint.net was free at the time) to create greeting cards, mugs, mousepads, etc. I didn’t know what I was doing ~ all of it self-taught with exception to the photographs ~ I took a photography class while studying for my bachelor’s degree ~ as my art elective.

Zazzle is a print on demand company who has never let me down in all this time. Whenever I’ve had an issue, such as quality of product, they’ve been quick to satisfy. And they go beyond just a refund, they also consider the time and effort you’ve lost, and they usually add a coupon toward your next purchase.

Mousepads are all over my house and popular in my art print collections.
I use them for everything. Under plants, on my counters, in all areas including stove, coffee bar, and outside of the fridge to put wet things down. The material is meant to be used for under your hand at your desk, so it is super durable, easy to clean and antimicrobial (or something like that ~ they just don’t get gross and can be washed!)

It all started with Our Heart Greeting, a giving group of creative friends who lived with multiple sclerosis. Our purpose was to celebrate abilities while raising awareness and education for the disease.

We did this by sharing our art collectively and mailing it as gifts to thank people for doing good things for us; we sent gifts to families, doctors, friends, and organizations ~ anonymously to the receiver that they may receive without obligation.

The recipient would receive a surprise bundle of creative joy ~ fun dollar store gifts like peeps, or bubbles and our own flavored lip balm, and mugs with tea bags or cocoa, a small jar of honey, with our design on it, etc..

We also joined yearly in March to raise awareness through a postcard campaign. I personally have mailed many hundreds of postcards around the country to raise awareness and education. This group was active with a website, and online forum, as well as social media presence (all designed, managed, and funded by me.)

After a few years, I was the only active participant, mailing greetings and postcards for 8 years total.

After a few years of inactivity, I started painting professionally as a fine artist, and have since cleared the art that was not mine from the OHG gallery and left only my personal art and my personal mission to raise awareness, education, and funds to support people living with multiple sclerosis. This is now a personal mission that is not supporting or representing any organization or group.

My #1 Best Seller as a creator on Zazzle…

I’ve sold almost 2500 of this particular card.

It is customizable, which allows for corporations and organizations to use it for their unique purpose. And individuals can also add or change the greeting.

This was an original photograph taken in my spring garden of a snap pea blossom.
